Laser Resurfacing: NanoLaserPeel, MicroLaserPeel, ProFractional & Contour TRL

A full spectrum of resurfacing, matched to your skin

Indications: Skin tone and texture; wrinkles, scarring, rhinophyma (Contour TRL only)

Solara Dermatology offers laser resurfacing tailored across a full spectrum of depths, from a gentle surface refresh through to deeper ablative treatments. Advanced computer scanning technology helps deliver precise, consistent results, while treatment intensity can be customised to address your skin concerns, goals, and downtime preferences.

NanoLaserPeel

A light refresh for tired looking skin

A very light resurfacing treatment that removes a thin layer of skin to improve tone and texture, with minimal downtime.

MicroLaserPeel

A deeper refresh for tone and texture

A slightly deeper peel than NanoLaserPeel, used to address fine lines, pigmentation and uneven texture, again with minimal downtime.

ProFractional

Stimulate renewal, layer by layer

A fractionated ablative Erbium laser that precisely resurfaces the skin to help improve acne scars, surgical scars, wrinkles and uneven texture. Treatment can be tailored from a lighter refresh through to more intensive scar revision, stimulating collagen remodelling while preserving the surrounding healthy skin.

Contour TRL

Advanced resurfacing for deeper concerns

Contour TRL is a precision, fully ablative Erbium laser resurfacing treatment that can be customised to each patient. Using an adjustable handpiece, Dr Gupta and her team can precisely control the depth and intensity of treatment to address a range of concerns, including pigmentation, sun damage, wrinkles, scarring, and skin laxity. By removing damaged outer layers of skin, the treatment stimulates the skin's natural healing response to promote smoother, refreshed skin.

The degree of control offered by Contour TRL allows treatment to be tailored to your individual skin condition, goals, and desired downtime, ranging from targeted resurfacing through to more intensive rejuvenation.

Contour TRL can also be used in the management of rhinophyma, a progressive thickening of the skin of the nose. In this setting, the laser allows precise removal of excess thickened tissue to help reshape and smooth the nasal contour.

Resurfacing FAQs

Why choose Erbium laser resurfacing?

Erbium laser resurfacing provides precise control over treatment depth, allowing skin resurfacing to be tailored to each patient's concerns, skin type, and desired downtime. Compared with traditional CO₂ lasers, Erbium wavelengths have a higher affinity for water in the skin, allowing precise removal of damaged tissue with less heat transfer to surrounding skin. This can support a more controlled recovery profile, particularly for patients with higher risk of pigmentary changes.

Advanced Erbium platforms, such as those used at Solara, also allow careful adjustment of coagulation, providing the ability to customise the balance between resurfacing and collagen remodelling depending on the treatment goal.

How do I know which depth of resurfacing is right for me?

Dr Gupta and her team will assess your skin, discuss your goals and downtime expectations, and recommend the resurfacing option best suited to you.

What does recovery involve?

Recovery will depend on the depth of your treatment. Lighter resurfacing treatments typically involve minimal downtime, while deeper resurfacing may require several days of healing. Dr Gupta will discuss what to expect during your consultation and provide personalised aftercare guidance to support your recovery.

Can resurfacing be combined with other technologies?

Yes, resurfacing is often combined with other technologies as part of a broader treatment plan, depending on your skin type and goals.
